Supporting World Nursery Rhyme Week 2021

We’re supporting World Nursery Rhyme Week 2021 by adapting the rhymes with Story Massage strokes. This is just one of the many ways that you can enjoy the fun and joy of nursery rhymes. Do check out the website World Nursery Rhyme Week to find a wide selection of resources including sing-a-longs with Piccolo Music.

What is World Nursery Rhyme Week 2021?

Launched in 2013, World Nursery Rhyme Week promotes the importance of nursery rhymes in early childhood development and education. Over 5 million children from 113 countries have taken part since 2013. Nursery rhymes are excellent teaching tools and can help to develop language and literacy skills, numeracy skills and social, physical and emotional skills. You can get involved by going to the WNRW website and following their social media.

Five Nursery Rhymes

Each year, five rhymes are chosen as part of the ‘Rhyme a Day’ challenge by singing the nursery rhymes and taking part in supporting activities.
